The trend towards less lead began some time ago: in the 80s, for example, lead-free petrol was introduced. Since then, our awareness of human and environmental health has continued to change, and this awareness does not stop at the metal industry. Because the legal requirements for lead-containing alloys have been continuously tightened, Manometal began to address the issue at an early stage.
We are now benefiting from this head start: we are able to manufacture all turned parts with unleaded alloys and in the usual quality. Even the most difficult geometries are no problem for our machinery. So why is lead-free important?
